Drag & Drop plates to a new position after they’ve been mated
A very simple and useful yet unknown option in LogoPress is to be able to “drag and drop” fully constrained/fully mated plates in the x, y or z axis. From the LogoPress help file:
You can move a plate by “drag and drop“. Click the plate with the left button of the mouse. While you press on this button, press Alt on the keyboard and move the plate (X,Y or Z direction). Release this button when the position is correct.
One instance where this is especially useful is when positioning parallels in the x direction so that they are in a good position relative to the slug openings in the die shoe. Simply insert a parallel so that it is fully constrained with x, y and z mates. Then follow the instructions above in italics and note that when you “drop” the parallel, you are simply changing the distance mate to wherever you dropped it. Typically a user will want to edit this distance mate after they’ve dropped the plate and simply make it a logical number, for example, some increment of .100″ or .125″.
